A day in Norway

Oslo was my final stop in Scandinavia. I spent a day there on my way back to Copenhagen, which is where my return flight home left from. I have to say I enjoyed Oslo the most. From start to finish, I was captivated by the sheer beauty of the city. The weather was absolutely perfect. Most people talk about how expensive Oslo is but there are ways to make it more affordable. For example, there are several American restaurants like T.G.I Fridays or Hard Rock Cafe where a burger may cost you at least $25. However, there are cheaper options where you can get a sandwich from a convenient store or buy something from a food truck. Hotels can be pricey but Airbnb and hostels are a good alternative. I would go back to Norway in a heartbeat. If you find yourself in Oslo for a long layover or for a few days, be sure to visit the Vigeland Sculpture Park, Nobel Peace Prize Museum, the Oslo Harbour Promenade and Karl Johan’s Gate. To save money, use public transportation.
