Thank you Ariana for another amazing time in Berlin. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since we met on our Peace Corps journey to Georgia. We may not talk everyday but we always pick up just where we left off. I’m so happy I was able to meet your adorable daughter. I love you! It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later. Now it’s time for to head home!!!#fromsacartvelotoberlin #rpcvsunite #friendsforlife❤️ Croatia it’s been real. @siancita_s thank you so much for meeting up with me! It’s been a joy as always! Next time meet me in DC! Next stop Berlin to visit my dear friend @ariana_marie023 and then home! Missing Rio and my bed!!!! #croatia #zagreb #bucketlisttravel #friends Plitvice lakes are a must when visiting Croatia. Pictures don’t do this magical place justice. Thanks @docwash11 for encouraging me to visit! I was not disappointed in the least. I’m grateful it didn’t rain because it was definitely on the forecast. #plitvicenationalpark #croatia Enjoying every minute. #croatiatravel #dubrovnikoldtown #walledcitydubrovnik #azurdubrovnik #thebardubrovnik A Game of Thrones tour is a must if you’re as much of a fan as I am! Dubrovnik was one of the filming locations in addition to Belfast, Ireland and Spain. #gottours #airbnbexperience #dubrovnikcroatia #dubrovnik🇭🇷 #croatiatravel Sian and I met 16 years ago when we were studying Spanish in Mexico. She lives in Manchester so we don’t see each other often but she’s been a great friend over the years. I haven’t seen her in 5 years so I’m so happy we’ve been able to explore Croatia together. Btw Croatia is absolutely breathtaking. Today we did a Game of Thrones tour which was very cool. It’s always nice to see places in person after you’ve only seen them in tv or film. I will say Dubrovnik is definitely giving DC prices but other than that, it’s been a great time. #dubrovnikcroatia #croatiatravel #gameofthronestourdubrovnik #goodtimeswithgoodfriends Solo travel is cool but if you can do it with your life partner, it’s even better. James is about to do his own Scandinavian tour. In normal circumstances, I would be joining him but I wanted to explore some new countries so we met in Poland, a country which was new for both of us. Traveling apart is healthy for couples, it allows each person to still have some independence and it gives you time to miss one another. Do you travel solo? Do you prefer to travel with a group, with your significant other, or friends? Krakow is most definitely a beautiful city. It’s not the most diverse European city I’ve visited but it’s still been nice to explore. #krakow #poland #coupletravels #eurotrip2022 Montenegro has been such a pleasant surprise. I didn’t know much about the country until a coworker told me about the great time she had here. After listening to her and doing some research I knew I wanted to visit. Montenegro does not disappoint. It’s absolutely beautiful. I would like to return in the summer. It might be added to my list of favorite European countries. #eurotrip2022 #kotorbay #oldtownkotor #kotorfortress #montenegroisbeautiful People often ask me how I’ve been able to visit so many countries. One of the ways I’ve been able to do so is by intentionally choosing flights with layovers in places I’ve never been. This gives me an opportunity to check out a new place and determine if I would like to return for a longer visit. Normally I explore on my own but this time I opted for a layover tour, which was perfect. My wonderful guide Alex picked me up from the airport and showed me some of the top sights in Belgrade. He was a wealth of information. We had a lot in common which made the experience even better. After when we were done sightseeing he then dropped me off at the airport. I know a lot of us want to reach our destination as soon as possible but if you have the option to have a stopover somewhere you’ve never been, you should take full advantage if you can. Serbia had never been on my radar but I’m glad I got a chance to explore Belgrade even if only for a few hours. The city is filled with beautiful flowers and street lined cafes everywhere you look. I would come back to explore more of Serbia. #belgrade #serbia #traveltips #country75
